Date Set for the Next March - Saturday 15th March
The date has been set for the next march! The march will be on Saturday 15th March - the weekend before the Councillors vote on which option will be chosen.
Details are still to be confirmed, and they will be published here after we have spoken to the police to check that they are happy. We are looking to do a march in Newport (perhaps similar to the Shanklin one), finishing up outside County Hall like the original event.
This is our last chance to show them that they need to listen to the people - we are all opposed to these options and the closures that go along with them.
So please write the date in your diary, spread the word and get loads of people to come!

FANTASTIC…!!!
This is what we need but it also needs a lot of publicity via IWRadio too…!!!
People seem to be giving up just when they need to be shouting loudly and I personally feel you need to ask Ian Mac & Pete Harris to get behind this latest march and to have it live on radio again with an outside broadcast as it will bring more people out on the street…!!!

Wroxall Primary will be out in force again! I also think it is about time that Alan Wells, Steve Beynon and David Pugh graced us with their presence.

Please may I suggest that on the day of the procession / march, outside the Palace of Newport, there are lined up a youngster from each and every ward on the Island. That youngster would have a placard stating which ward they represent and, alongside them, stands their respective Councillor. But there again there will probably be a lot of youndsters on their own. And, oh yes, nearly forgot, one for Mr Beynon. I mean, we don’t want him to feel unwanted do we?
