    We have already been told our school (Scot Lane End , Blackrod,Bolton) is to close due to too many surplus places in the village , yet before the rumours started about the review the school was full bar about 5 places.
    Fear made people leave , believing that the school would close and they would struggle to get places at their second choice school.
    The school was stopped from closure in 1999 by a ruling from The Secretary of State, but this rule has now been removed.
    Why are Bolton council so fixated in closing SLE ?
    We have good OFSTED reprts and people travel a few miles to be there even though they have close good schools. There is no rhyme or reason to this.
